Les Nuits Blanches

It's a strange thing that the City of Light is arguably more alive at night than during the day.

The other evening, the french ex petit ami failing to turn up chez moi, I met up with some other girls for a drink. Of course a cocktail turned into Tequila slammers, then a bottle of wine between two and at 2am me and the other last anglophone standing had just enough of unfriendly Parisiens, Berliners and rather too friendly Marocains and Bresilien jews, and wanted food (her) somewhere to sit down (me) and rich men (both of us).

If I say a New York Banker, the most amazing goat's cheese salad and two bottles of Moet et Chandon were involved, I'll let your imagination decide on the ending.

I've decided students are not the way forward. Too pretentious/inexperienced/awkward/immature for words. So we are going on a search and survey of rich men in Paris. Next stop Champs Elysees.

I just can't go back to the Bastille/L'an Vert du Decor in a while- the waitress gave some very judging looks to us- Perhaps going in having one Cosmopolitan, leaving and coming back 4 hours later with a rich american who is old enough to be your father is the only way to raise the eyebrows of a parisienne serveuse. Especially when he asks his 'little british Harry Potter' to taste the champagne when the serveuse gives it to him to try!

I can't stop listening to this, how come I've never heard this in a club or bar?!

Isn't It Romantic?

I'm currently obsessed with Audrey Hepburn. I'm sorry, I am.

Ever since I got my hair cut short, I've been making a concious effort not to look like a boy. (i.e. slum around with no make-up, in just jeans and a hoodie. Although I love La Deyn, it's beginning to be so obvious, now everyone has a little peroxide crop and flashes of tartan.
I've tried out the Edie Sedgwick, but frankly and perhaps regrettably, I have neither the paitence or the physique for the look, even though I adore it. (who couldnt?!)

Anyway, AUDREY. Since I'm also planning my Eramus year abroad, hopefully in Paris (although the frequent nightmares of living in a cupboard for 400 euros is worrying me a wee bit), and I never much cared for Fred Astaire ( I always thought he was far too old for his filmic love interests) the obvious film is Sabrina Fair!
I love this film, sometimes I think it's on a par with Breakfast at Tiffany's. Mmm. Maybe not. BUT I still love it! Who couldn't love the song La Vie En Rose?! and Isnt it Romantic?! I am a closet romantic. Films like A Matter of Life And Death, Now, Voyager, I'm a complete sucker for! All my cynicism goes out the window with a good bit of old fashioned soundtrack...
I want all of these things:

Liberté Egalité Fraternité...

Oooh results day soon... Isnt that scary..? 16th. Glasgow or Leeds. Or Oblivion, really. And its Highers results day today.

Gordon Brown is a lovely man i think. He kind of reminds me of my dad, and Blair never did...

As world leaders go, he's a bit of a lovely. Maybe i like him because my Teddy bear was called Mr Brown...but i'm very much looking forward to what he ends up doing. That whole Sudan thing was just lovely.

I was in Paris two weeks ago, and its actually really weird with that there Tsar Kozy in. (he was blatently pissed in that press conference btw not just 'tired')

Although, it was the week before the Tour De France went up the Champs Elysées so all the armed policemen in the Métro could be down to that...pfft.

No, but i even saw a CRS van, i was well pleased. (I did my A level French Coursework on the aftermath of the '05 riots/racism/corruption in France)
